About
Who I am
Kia Ora, my name is Finn Marshall and I am a 16-year-old graphic designer from Wellington, New Zealand. I have always had an interest in graphic design and art, but it wasn't until November 2022 where I took that interest seriously. This was the result of a back injury that prevented me from playing sports for 10 months. During this time, I had a lot of time on my hands, but I still wanted to be connected with sports. This led to me developing a passion for sports graphic design, a passion I still have now even when I am able to play sports again.
Experience
Although I have only been designing since the end of 2022, I already have lots of experience. Some of my proudest work is the content I have produced for the Wellington Saints Basketball team social media channels across 2023, 2024 and 2025. I have also worked paid part-time for the Wellington College 1st XV, creating graphics, providing matchday photography and assisting with social media management. Towards the end of 2024, I applied for media accreditation with the Wellington Lions, where I got my first opportunity to photograph professional sports. Alongside all of this, I still post personal projects frequently on my social channels and run a number of private commissions.
Skills
My most refined skills are my graphic design and illustration skills. However, I am not limited to just these skills. In July 2024, I picked up photography. I shoot with a Canon EOS R50 and a Canon EF 70-200 lens. After picking up photography, I naturally picked up videography and video editing. I am very eager to learn and improve my skills to build my portfolio including skills like videography, video editing, animation and sports marketing
